How our Sport Hat Idea Hatched
The Beacon Hat was born in 2002. Our very first model was made with a 12-volt light driven by a Makita drill battery! The battery was so large that it had to be holstered onto one’s belt. We’re in much better shape these days. The hat takes just three hidden AAA batteries which are included in the $120 price. The price also includes shipping and handling within the U.S.A.

The hat first commanded media attention at a Red Wing’s game in Detroit’s Joe Louis Arena. ESPN’s Ken Daniels and Mickey Redmond mentioned “there’s a construction crew in the building tonight.” The clip was aired again during the NHL playoffs.

Other sports team fanatics started noticing and requesting our hats. This triggered us to create affordable sport hats which are now available to masses of insane sports nuts.
